Ve done according to the value methodology, can be an architects best friend! It's when it is done late and when projects in budget trouble, it gets the reputation of cost cutting. Ve is more of a qualitative tool to help deliver a project. After all, we architects (and Ve professionals) are in the business of delivering projects to our customers. A great design that is not within budget, does nothing for our customers. Just an owners perspective here.
